About The Wiggles World of Dance

Created by The Wiggles and Wanoli Entertainment, this vibrant dance program is energetic and fun. It allows young people to explore their own bodies capabilities and strength in a safe environment.
The program focuses on the fundamentals of dance in a fun and wiggly way.

Our Wiggly dancers will explore the fundamentals of dance technique in a fun, creative and imaginative way allowing them to gain an understanding of dance & music prior to moving into mainstream dance classes.

In 2025 Brisbane Dance Theatre will be offering Wiggles World of Dance classes to children 12 months to 5 years of age, Tuesday through to Saturday.
Each week will see progressive learning and understanding new components of dance fundamentals, steps & vocabulary. Each lesson will have an element of retaining knowledge from previous weeks through repetition and revision.

The Outcomes

Through this incredible Wiggles World of Dance programme, parents can expect their children will achieve the following outcomes:

• Fundamentals of Dance Technique

• Exposure to musical rhythms and beats

• Body posture & strength

• Creative movement and imagination

• Understanding body positioning, composition, and alignment

• Develop flexibility, balance & coordination

• Fun listen and response activities

• Harness healthy relationship with their body and building confidence

• Develop social skills and awareness

• Positive introduction to routine and daily set up.

In addition, each student will receive a signed certificate from The Wiggles at the completion of each term.

The Programmes

Our Wiggles World of Dance classes will be held at our studios in Coorparoo and are run by our professional and classically trained teachers who are always patient and kind.  All teachers at Brisbane Dance Theatre are fully vaccinated, hold current BlueCard’s and are trained in CPR and first aid with ample experience teaching this age group.

We are an all-inclusive dance studio.  We encourage boys to join our classes and our studio colours, uniforms and programmes have been designed with this in mind.

• 12 months to 2 years - (30-minute lesson)

Parent participation is encouraged

• 3 to 5 years – (45-minute lesson)

A few things to note:

• We ask you to trust us with your child.  To enable your child to focus and participate fully in the class without distractions, we find it easier if parents view our classes through our ‘watching window’ or go and enjoy a coffee around the corner while the class is on.  If your child does need some support from you as a parent, we will of course welcome you into the studio to ensure your child feels comfortable and confident.

• At the end of each term, you will be invited to watch our final class and be amazed at what your child has achieved!

• Students are required to wear the studio uniform to all classes (except for our Dress Up Week, which is held once a term).

• Classes are invoiced in term blocks and are refundable for medical reasons only.  You can find more about our fees here.
